I’m Ana Isabel Altamira, founder of Merlot Studios based in Salt Lake City, Utah. I’m dedicated to freezing in time life’s most beautiful moment since 2017.

I’m a story teller, a sucker for romance and I know it’s the little things that make you feel the most. I love a genuine moment, specially when the imperfect becomes naturally perfect.

  • It’s just the two of you and no one else in the world. There are no awkward poses, no wrong hand placements, and no smile too big or laugh too loud. Just two lovers being frozen in time.

    Engagement sessions starting at $399

  • Photography should be simple. Rid yourself of fancy equipment, screens and lights overwhelming your big day. You and your sweetheart should simply be yourselves and forget there’s even a camera in sight. It’s all about those perfectly candid moments, nothing forced.

    Wedding packages starting at $1,800 (6 hrs. minimum coverage)

  • Let’s capture the sweetness of your love and the sensations in your soul when that special little person awaits to meet you. Let’s freeze the feeling not just a beautiful smile.

    Maternity sessions starting at $399

  • When it comes to capturing those significant moments, it’s about preserving the journey so that you and your loved ones can look back and remember that smile as true as the first.

She made us feel completely comfortable, at ease, and took all of the pressure off. She captured beautiful, candid photos that were not forced, awkward or “staged”. Our vision was to have very candid, romantic moments captured - lots of close up shots, warm lighting, and details. Ana listened to our vision, took time to review our reference shots, and totally hit it out of the park. There is not one photo that we were not happy with! Ana also has a great way of blending into the crowd and not getting into guests way or making you feel like there is a massive camera in your face. She is not obtrusive, has an incredibly small footprint, and tucks into the shadows and crevices. It’s incredible - many of our guests (after the wedding!!!) asked “where are photographer was” and commented on how low-profile she was. Overall, an incredibly talented photographer who maintains professionalism, while making the entire experience feel comfortable.
